Student Code of Conduct & Professional Standards
The following section has been updated to reflect the official Dark Navy Blue uniform policy of Adam College of Nursing & Midwifery and HIMAS. This professional attire distinguishes our students during their clinical rotations and academic sessions.
1. General Code of Conduct
- Attendance: A minimum of 85% attendance in both theory classes and clinical rotations at Liaquat University Hospital is mandatory.
- Punctuality: Students must be at their respective stations at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
- Professionalism: Respectful behavior toward faculty, staff, and patients is non-negotiable.
- Mobile Phone Policy: Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during lectures and clinical duties.
2. Uniform Policy: The Dark Navy Blue Standard
The uniform is a mark of your professional identity. It must be clean, well-ironed, and worn with pride.
For Nursing & Allied Health Students (BSN, Post-RN, DPT):
- Female Students: Dark Navy Blue Kameez (full sleeves), Dark Navy Blue Shalwar, and Dark Navy Blue Dupatta/Scarf. A clean White Lab Coat with the ADAM CONM or HIMAS logo must be worn over the uniform.
- Male Students: Dark Navy Blue Shirt (full sleeves), Dark Navy Blue Trousers, and a clean White Lab Coat with the official institutional logo.
- Footwear: Black closed-toe formal shoes with black socks.
- Identification: The college-issued student ID card must be visible at all times.
Grooming Standards:
- Hair: Neatly tied/pinned (females) or professionally trimmed (males).
- Infection Control: Nails must be short and clean. No nail polish or long jewelry is permitted in clinical areas.
- Lab Coats: Must be laundered regularly; a stained lab coat is a breach of professional hygiene standards.
3. Clinical Ethics at Liaquat University Hospital
- Patient Privacy: Strict adherence to patient confidentiality is required. Never share patient information or photos on social media.
- Supervision: Do not perform invasive procedures without the direct supervision of a clinical instructor.
- Integrity: Falsifying clinical logs or hours is a serious offense.
4. Disciplinary Committee
Under the direction of Dr. Syed Alamdar Raza Zaidi, a formal Disciplinary Committee monitors compliance. Failure to adhere to the Dark Navy Blue dress code or the code of conduct may result in fines or suspension from clinical duties.
"Uniformity in dress reflects our unity in purpose. Wearing the Dark Navy Blue of our institution signifies your commitment to the discipline of healing."
